First Thursday Book Club

Thursday 3 September, 8:00pm

If you could ask God one question, and you knew it would be answered, what would it be?  Paul Williams and Barry Cooper have spent several years asking people that question.   In If you could ask God one question, they reveal the results.

If you  would like to join us at the First Thursday Book Club, purchase a copy of the book (available from the Booknook for $12), read it, and join our meeting on 3 September.  We will meet as usual at Lisa and Hayley's home.  For the address, please contact the church office 9534 2699.

First Thursday Book Club

Thursday 2 July at 8pm at Lisa Byrnes’ home.  Our book this month is Finally Alive by John Piper.

What does the Bible teach about the miracle of rebirth? In this new book, John Piper explores Jesus’ peculiar command, “You must be born again.” Spiritual rebirth is precious and crucial. When Jesus said, “You must be born again,” he wasn’t simply sharing interesting information; he was directing us toward eternal life. It is essential to know what God intends when he uses this language of being born again, so that we may experience new birth and help others do the same.

The book can be purchased from the booknook or you can read it online at http://www.desiringgod.org/ResourceLibrary/OnlineBooks/ByTitle/3588_Finally_Alive/
