Men’s Breakfast – Tragedy, Faith & Wheelchair Rugby

Guest speaker: Simon Bartlett

Come and hear the amazing story of Simon Bartlett who plays wheelchair rugby for NSW.

In 2007 Simon went to the beach and following a dive into the water he became a quadriplegic.

Simon will be interviewed and tell his story of the tragedy in 2007, his rehabilitation, the place of God in his life, and how his faith helped him move forward.

Don’t miss this breakfast. Bring your friends.

Sunday Services October 29

This Sunday, at the 9am and 11am services, Ange Gratsounas will be speaking from 1 John 2:18-27 and 4:1-6, Stay the course – lies and enemies. Lianbo Zhang will be speaking from the same passage at the 2pm Mandarin service, Abiding in the Lord against Anti-Christ. At the 6pm service Brett Hookham will speak on The Instrument Part 2 from Romans 4:13-25. The evening service will be followed by Cheap Eats in the hall.

Sunday Services October 15

At the 9am and 11am service this week, Ange Gratsounas will be speaking to us from 1 John 1:1 – 2:2, to ‘Walk in the Light’. At the 2pm (Mandarin) Lianbo Zhang will be speaking on Fellowship with God in light also from 1 John 1:1 – 2:2. At the 6pm service, there will be a number of baptisms and we will be launching a new series in Romans called ‘A Solution and Instrument’. Brett Hookham will bring us our first message from Romans 3:21-31

Catalyst

Sunday October 29 at 4pm
Catalyst is a movement of church based groups in conjunction with Baptist World Aid which meet to learn and pray about issues of global justice, and also advocate on behalf of the oppressed and vulnerable.
