Alpha

What to expect

Alpha is a series of interactive sessions with coffee and food that creates a safe, honest and joyful space. It is for anyone and everyone who wants to explore life, meaning and the Christian faith, ask questions, and share their point of view. Alpha is free and everyone is welcome.

Connection

We meet in person over coffee and dessert, always creating space to connect, relax and build friendships.

General program of a night will be:

  • Arrive, nibble and chat
  • Watch the alpha film
  • Break for dessert
  • Discussion groups
  • Continue chatting if you want

Content

The Alpha talks are designed to inspire conversation. We watch a video and then discuss it together, which is a time for you to share your thoughts. We will explore the big issues of life and faith:

  • Week 1: Welcome dinner- Is there more to life than this?
  • Week 2: Who is Jesus?
  • Week 3: Why did Jesus die?
  • Week 4: How can I have faith?
  • Week 5: Why & how do I pray?
  • Week 6: Why & how should I read the Bible?
  • Week 7: How does God guide us?

Conversation

One of the most important parts of any Alpha: the chance to share thoughts and ideas on the topic in a group of no more than 12 people. There’s no obligation to say anything and there’s nothing you can’t say (seriously).
