Speaker: Joe Alberts
Joe is a practicing Clinical Psychologist. He lectures in the field of Group psychotherapy in the Counselling department at Morling College. He has a special interest in Mental Health and presents Mental First Aid Training courses and consults in the field of the management of mental health in organisations. Joe is an active member of Thornleigh Baptist Community Church where he heads up the mentoring initiative and serves as family group leader. Joe is married to Carin and has three children. He loves and rides things with two wheels and is a keen spearfisher.

Celebration Sunday – 60th Anniversary & Opening of Building Extensions

On this day we plan to celebrate God’s provision as we open the building extensions, and celebrate our 60th anniversary as a church. All former members, attendees, and friends are invited to celebrate God’s goodness with us. We will officially open the church extensions and celebrate our 60th anniversary.
We will have one morning service at 9.30am with video links into the hall, morning tea and sausage sizzle. We will also have our 2pm Chinese service and 6pm service.

Bob Glenn is the Pastor at Redeemer Bible Church, USA. He is the author of various evangelistic and theological audio and video resources, as well as the book Modest: Men and Women Clothes in the Gospel. Bill Salier is the Vice Principal at Moore Theological College. He has a special interest in John’s Gospel and Letters and is currently thinking about the world, in the Bible, as the context for faithful Christian living and unbelief as a theme in John’s Gospel.

Mandarin Service Launch & Induction of Pastor Trent Tsai

We launch our new weekly Mandarin Service and Induct our first Chinese Pastor, Trent Tsai. Trent and his wife Christy are both students at the Chinese Theological College at Burwood. Trent will work two and a half days a week as the Pastor of this new congregation. The speaker at the Induction Service will be the Rev Dr Dennis Law, the Principal of the Chinese Theological College. Please join us to support Trent and Christy and the Chinese Ministry in our community.
