Welcome to Winter and a departure time of 9am touring CareFlight base facilities, meeting the crew and learning more about CareFlight operations. CareFlight is an Australian aeromedical charity, established in 1986. CareFlight’s mission is to save lives, speed recovery and serve the community by providing the highest standard of rapid response critical care. We are not being charged for the tour, but there is a shop if you would like to support CareFlight in this way.

Enjoy a relaxing day of sightseeing in the picturesque Southern Highlands taking in the beauty of Mittagong, Fitzroy Falls, and lunching at Burrawang Hotel on homemade morsels. After lunch we journey to Robertson (where the 1995 movie ‘Babe’ was filmed) and visit the infamous Pie Shop where you might like to purchase your evening meal.

Enjoy the picturesque surroundings while Chris takes us on a fun filled tour of robotic shows, skits and practical demonstrations of character creation. Sit back and let ‘Dusty D Dog’ entertain you with Aussie songs and tales of the Outback and ‘Jojo Ivory’ sing the blues or visit the unusual ‘doll collection’. Look behind the scenes at the wonderful world of animatronics and enjoy Chris’s 25 years of practical experience in the Christmas and entertainment industry.

Welcome to our first outing for 2016 with Judith as our guide. We will pass ‘Camelot’ the house used in ‘A Place to Call Home’ first then travel to the Wollondilly Heritage Centre which is a marvellous place with lots to see. Lunch will be at the Oaks Inn. After lunch Judith will take us on another history excursion as we hear of local people and their pioneer holdings and explore the district noted by Governor Hunter as being excellent for cultivation. Morning tea included.

Well, here’s your chance, join us as we travel south to Wollongong stopping en route for morning tea. Our very informative tour will not only involve the unique visual experience of the buildings, statues, shrines and beautiful gardens but will provide an insight into Chinese culture and the beliefs and practices of humanistic Buddhism….
