At 11.30am we will have our annual Good Friday Picnic at Moore Reserve, Morshead Drive Hurstville Grove. Play equipment and bike track. Bring your own lunch. Barbecue facilities available.
Starting at 7:30pm on Thursday 13th April, this solemn service which dates back to the 4th Century, focuses on the shadows falling on Christ in the last hours of His life on earth.
One of the most conspicuous features of the service is the gradual extinguishing of the candles in the room. As it gets darker and darker we can reflect on the great emotional and physical pain that was very real to Jesus on that evening. After the Service it is traditional for people to leave the church quietly and return home.
A very moving service we encourage you to experience!
