On Monday Sep 1 Tim MacBride is launching a new website that provides daily bible reading notes – a new post each weekday. It’s designed to be more than a lightweight devotional, less than a commentary, and to take about 10 minutes to read each day. See www.coffeewiththeking.org. Mobile-device friendly, so you can read it on the train!
Our Villawood visiting group presents the award winning feature film—Mary Meets Mohammad
At NBC on Saturday September 20 at 7pm
The film follows the arrival of Tasmania’s first detention centre through the eyes of local Christian woman and knitting club member Mary and Muslim Afghan Hazara asylum seeker Mohammad, who is detained inside the centre – as they connect through the gift of a knitted beanie.
The film will be followed by a short Q and A where you can find out more about what we do at Villawood. The event is free and will include supper.
Check out this review on the Bible Society website. You can view the trailer here.
