Youth Pastor Position

Narwee Baptist Church is a large evangelical church in southern Sydney with an average attendance of 750 people on Sundays over four services. We are seeking a full-time Youth Pastor to commence in 2019 to further develop our large and growing ministry to high school youth [100 youth, 35 leaders]

The Youth Pastor will set vision, lead, train and encourage our large team of volunteer leaders, oversee our Friday night youth group and our Sunday youth Bible Study groups. They will connect with our local high schools as well as drive our youth evangelism and mission activities. They will also write and develop our youth teaching program.

Prime Time—Mystery Tour

Men’s Breakfast – ‘Down, not out – Hope in depression and anxiety’

Chris currently serves as assistant minister at St Matthew’s West Pymble. He is the author of Down Not Out: Depression, Anxiety and the Difference Jesus Makes’ which explores how an identity in Christ impacts our thoughts, feelings and attitudes towards mental health. In addition, Chris is the Founding Director of Biblical Counsellors Australia, an interdenominational organisation which seeks to bring the truths of Scripture to all of life.

Regional Prayer & Worship Night

17 October at 7.30pm
At Narwee Baptist Church
Churches from across southern Sydney will gather to worship, pray and catch a vision for what God is doing.
Music and worship will be led by a team from Grace Church, Indiana in the United States and Nairobi Chapel, Kenya. This team will be in Australia on mission for 10 days with Ken Kamau and Earlwood Baptist Church.
We’ll also hear the latest news about our region’s vision: SS100 – a vision to see 100 healthy churches transforming the southern suburbs of Sydney. And we’ll pray for each other, all our churches and God’s work in our area.

Karl and Caroline Hochstetter serve with the Sydney Refugee Team, part of International Teams Australia. They believe it is the heart of God to show justice and compassion to the oppressed. They want to give hope to refugees and asylum seekers by sharing the love of Christ, expressed in practical ways. Karl and Caroline partner with and help train local churches to join in God’s vision.
