Christmas Lights

Our church has been decorated with Christmas Lights which will be on display throughout December until Christmas. The church will be open on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights and we will have welcome packs for visitors and information about the church’s various ministries. Tea and coffee will be served. There will be live music on the church steps on Saturday December 6 & Friday December 12 & 19 from 8.00pm.

Operation Christmas Child

Boxes now due back

The Operation Christmas Child Appeal, is an appeal where we provide shoeboxes with gifts for children this Christmas in the South Pacific region. You can pick up a shoebox after the service today and the information brochure which will let you know what type of items you are permitted to place in the shoeboxes.

Peakhurst Scripture Dinner

Dear Friends,

You are invited to attend the Annual Supporters Dinner on Wednesday 22nd October 2014, at 6:30pm, hosted by the Peakhurst Area School Scripture Board. It will be held at Mortdale RSL Community Club (25 Macquarie Place, Mortdale) and the cost is $35. Tax deductible donations will be welcome on the night.

Mary Meets Mohammad

Our Villawood visiting group presents the award winning feature film—Mary Meets Mohammad
At NBC on Saturday September 20 at 7pm
The film follows the arrival of Tasmania’s first detention centre through the eyes of local Christian woman and knitting club member Mary and Muslim Afghan Hazara asylum seeker Mohammad, who is detained inside the centre – as they connect through the gift of a knitted beanie.
The film will be followed by a short Q and A where you can find out more about what we do at Villawood. The event is free and will include supper.

Young Dads Event – BBQ and Nerf Guns

Title: Young Dads Event – BBQ and Nerf Guns
Location: NBC Church Hall
Description: On Tuesday 26 August, from 7pm in the NBC hall, the Young Dads will be feeding up on BBQ before trying to graciously shoot each other with Nerf guns. All Young Dads, particularly those who have just encountered fatherhood for the first time, are welcome.

NB. Sons & Daughters age 8 and above are welcome
