Prime Time are headed to Bare Island, Botany Bay, on August 16th (coach departing from NBC at 9am).
Bare Island has historical significance- Captain Cook first spotted the area in 1770 and referred to it in his journal as “small bare island”. The Fort was built in the early 1880’s to protect Sydney’s back door. It was in operation until 1908, after which time it became Australia’s First War Veterans Home.
Cost is $65, which includes transport, morning tea and lunch at Yarra Bay Sailing Club.
